CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
GOING BEYOND BUSINESS
Being in the business of saving lives, it is but natural that we adopt a social responsibility (CSR) program that is aligned to our mission of promoting positive patient outcomes.
As the country is prone to various types of national disasters, our CSR focus is on providing immediate medical and rescue assistance to those in most need.
Leveraging on skills acquired in our day-to-day emergency operations and our strong relationships with government and non-government groups, we are able to deploy our Search and Rescue (SAR) teams and Disaster Medical Assistance Teams (DMAT) within the “Golden Hour” response or within the first 100 hours of the disaster. This approach has proven to be of high impact since bulk of the assistance is on the provision of relief goods.
While food and water are important, the lack of or absence of immediate medical care poses as much risk to the victims as the disaster itself. It has been seen in the past disasters that around the world that a number of survivors who did not get the right and immediate medical attention acquired lingering illness resulting in fatalities.
